What we do

Our mission is to deter opportunistic and organized cybercrime through an Internet-scale, real-time security network. This network is powered by thousands of users, sharing the aggression they blocked with our open-source software. By coupling this local behavior analysis and sharing its findings within our community, we create a giant hacker radar, a large-scale reputation system, and a crowd-sourced Cyber Threat Intelligence of unprecedented magnitude that will counter the vast majority of technical hacks.

CrowdSec is a well-financed ($14M Series-A in Sept 2022), human-sized team of cybersecurity experts. Most of the team has worked remotely since day 1. The CrowdSec solution is used in 150+ countries, it is a unique, collaborative, open-source security solution that protects thousands of users, and we intend to get millions of them. Role

As Business Development Representative, you will work with our fast-growing marketing and sales team to help scale, create, and interact with new contacts, generating new business opportunities in the United States market by qualifying marketing leads and prospecting through existing business accounts to engage with potential customers. This will be done in interaction with the Marketing and Support teams, to ensure the most pleasant customer journey.



Job requirements

Must-have

  • A track record of success in developing business opportunities in the cybersecurity software sector

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and understanding of the ecosystem we live in

  • Experience overseeing the entire sales process from prospect to customer

  • Experience with sales methodologies like MEDDIC/MEDDPICC

  • Cold Calling Experience

  • Experience creating contact lists

  • Driving attendance to CrowdSec-hosted user events

  • Fluency in English essential, 2nd language an advantage (French, German, Spanish)

  • Experience working with at least one of the following sectors: Financial, Insurance, eCommerce, PSPs, Cybersecurity, Open Source Software

Optional

  • Languages considered a plus

  • Knowledge of the open-software landscape

  • Knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape

  • Start-up experience

  • Experience with Hubspot

Soft Skills

  • You are a confident and polished communicator who is able to build strong and lasting relationships

  • Even if not experienced, you are interested in the cybersecurity industry

  • You are autonomous, do not hesitate to share new ideas with the team, and are genuinely interested in learning your customer's needs

  • Ability to work remotely provided you are +/- 4h from CEST
